I was pleasantly surprised when I first saw what MyShedPlans Elite actually included. It has plans for over 12,000 woodworking projects! Produced by a Master Carpenter, Ryan Henderson, it should appeal to both beginners and seasoned professionals. It is full of detailed blueprints, bills of materials, schematics, photos, section drawings, full-color illustrations – a comprehensive list.

This is much more than a source of shed plans. In fact this is one of the largest woodworking planning kits currently available.

The heart of the package is, of course, a large number of plans and step-by-step guides to show you how to plan and build virtually any kind of backyard or garden structure you might imagine. Sheds are just one of the many types of building to get your creative juices flowing! And I understand that every one of these projects has been tested to work for even totally-inexperienced woodworkers, which is reassuring.

MyShedPlans Elite is designed to be a complete course on building outdoor sheds and other woodworking projects. It has professional instructions and tips throughout each project, and there is even a complete woodworking guide and course included.

With this package you should be able to build your own shed from scratch even if you are a complete novice. Each plan is complete from start to finish, including comprehensive materials lists, detailed diagrams, photos, schematic drawings and clear step-by-step instructions. Frankly I believe that even a seasoned woodworker would enjoy the ease that MyShedPlans brings to the planning and assembly stages, such as providing full measurements, because it takes a lot of time and effort to work these things out for oneself. And, believe me, it is so easy to get them wrong.

There are a number of how-to guides on general building topics, such as the use of sealants and glues, electrical wiring, mixing cement, roofing, plumbing and buying materials. I am told that many professionals actually keep a copy of MyShedPlans in their offices for reference!

You can choose from a range of sheds (storage, garden, big, small) as well as pergolas, gazebos, dog kennels, chicken coops, children’s playhouses, garages, carports, even houses. There is a range of garden furniture to make, such as picnic tables, swings, climbing frames and so on. There are sections on shed foundations and making fences and gates. A really good selection of projects and diy tips.

If I had to make a criticism it would be that the product’s name, MyShedPlans, is not fully representative of what it has to offer. Perhaps PlansForEveryProjectYouCouldEverImagine might be better! I believe that it represents excellent value for money.
